Arimidex is sold by the name Anatrozole. It was designed for treating breast cancer in women after menopause.  There are some types of cancers that grow faster because of a hormone called estrogen. Arimidex reduces the production of estrogen in the body to slow and in some cases reverse the growth of breast cancer.

Benefit

Arimidex belongs to the class of Aromatase Inhibitors. This compound is consumed to negate the effects of steroids on the body that reduce the estrogen level. Men use it for getting lean and muscular chest. It does not cause water retention like other compounds.

The only benefit bodybuilders receive by taking this compound is that it controls the production of estrogen. Therefore, estrogen related side effects such as high blood pressure, water retention, bloating and enlargement of male breasts is not going to be a problem. If you must take Arimidex, you will have to combine it with your steroid cycle. It’s best to consult your sports doctor before you decide to take this compound.

Dosage

The dosage of Arimidex depends on your steroid cycle. Ideally, you must take 0.5 to 1 mg of this compound.  It is recommended to start slow and increase your dosage slightly depending on how much you feel the compound is working.

Arimidex is one of those steroids that has been designed or preventing the side effects of other steroids.  However, it has its own side effects too which might vary from person to person. these include pain in joints, weight gain, headache, nausea, hot flashes, etc.
